Lighting in Thrillers

In the lesson our group decided to explore lighting and the effect of shadows in thrillers. Low key lighting creates a more chilling and tense atmosphere because you cannot see a lot, compared to high key lighting where it is very bright and doesn't hint towards a thriller film.We used different light sources which gave a different color lights and also played around with what shadows we could create. The shadows could create our title sequence, we tried to make a shadow of a hand writing with a pen on the wall, this could be used to write out the titles. This has influenced our planning as it has given us more ideas to possibly develop and also made us a bit more confident with using the camera and lighting. Here is the video of some of our work.
