As there was unexpected snow, we had to film last minute and although this was stressful, we pushed through and completed what we had originally planned to film. We managed to film all of the male and female actors parts, but not the parts when they were together which we managed to do at te end of the week. When we showed our teacher the clips we had filmed, he didnt like the part where the male actor was going up the stairs and suggested we re-soot it and cut it up so we only see him at the bottom and then at the top so it doesnt take up too much time on our film.
When we shot at the end of the week however, we put the shots into our project and then realized that the lighting on the female actress was completely different to the lighting that we filmed previously this week, which meant that most of our footage of the female, we cannot use. Also as we wanted the room to be quite dark and eerie, it meant that many of the shots were fuzzy as the camera couldnt pick anything up. many of the shots we shot first were fine, but as we continued to film through the evening, it was getting darker and we were only using natural light through the curtains so many scenes didnt fit together due to the lighting difference.
We over came this problem by filming on the weekend and blocking out all the natural light and used lamps to light the room and positioned them near the female to create a shadow of her against the wall and also the bars of the bed were reflected, giving a creepy effect. We now need to edit this together to produce a rough cut to show our teacher, where any changes that could be made are suggested and we are then allowed to improve and reshoot if really necessary. We worked well under the pressure of so little time and I believe we will work well with our editing too.
